Description

BGM BigBox Sport V2 for Vespa PX125, PX150, LML 125-150
Performance like a racing exhaust - looks like a stock exhaust

The BGM BigBox Sport V2 is a racing exhaust for thoroughbred Vespas, with the unexpected design of an original exhaust. It positions itself as a clear alternative to large and flashy resonance exhaust systems. The high level of performance clearly distinguishes the BBS2 from other exhaust systems. Designed for performance-oriented drivers who appreciate the benefits of an inconspicuous vehicle.

NEW BBS V2
The basic concept was retained and only adapted to the increased requirements due to the increased engine power and displacement. The BGM BBS2 (=Big Box Sport V2) has enlarged pipe sections both inside the box and in the exhaust area. This effectively prevents the loss of power that often occurs with very powerful engines (over 30 HP).

In addition, the often criticized ground clearance of the manifold has been changed. The system is now fully suitable for everyday use and has the same ground clearance as a comparable resonance exhaust.
Like the Big Box Touring V2, the BBS2 now also features a connection between the header and the exhaust body.

REQUIREMENTS
Like any good racing exhaust, the BGM BBS2 needs a powerful engine to develop its full performance. With cylinders like the Quattrini M1X, the VMC Crono or the Malossi MHR it offers impressive results. It easily supports engine powers above 25hp and pushes forward with plenty of torque. Despite the high peak power, the Sport Box shifts into gear early and also allows for smooth driving. Due to its consistent design for high throttle flow, the BigBox Sport is not intended for use with near-series engines or tame tuning cylinders. It needs a clear and powerful exhaust pulse to fill the large volume and thick manifold of the Sport Box with life.

ACOUSTIC
Given the high power of the engine, the BBS2 cannot be a "silent" exhaust. As with all exhaust systems, there is always a balance between the volume of damping and the displacement the exhaust system was designed for. With the very limited space under the Vespa, it is therefore very difficult to accommodate the volume of silencing required for an engine of 220cc or more without compromising performance. The BBS2 therefore represents a compromise between maximum power and acceptable noise levels.

PROS:

Appearance similar to stock

Peak power like a resonance exhaust

No power holes

Wide RPM band

Higher top speed

Suitable for Rally/Sprint without modifications

Solid construction with clamp on cylinder

Handmade in Europe

AGAINST:

Not for vehicles with 8 inch tires (too low ground clearance)

Not for stock engines

The manifold is fixed to the cylinder using a clamp. Compared to a loose fitting with O-ring seal, this ensures the best stability and prevents damage to the exhaust flange. For optimum ground clearance, a long spacer should be used on the rear shock absorber.
