Internal rotor ignition is a must for all high-end engines.
The ignitions installed by the manufacturer of the series give a pulse of clean ignition only up to a certain speed. L'

HPI
provides a clean ignition pulse even at 20,000 rpm.

The low flywheel mass due to the lightweight rotor provides a significant increase in power over the entire rev range

. As a result, the maximum speed and acceleration increase significantly.

A further advantage is the variable adjustment of the ignition timing. Good for torque in the lower speed range and good for cylinder thermal discharge in the higher speed range. The hammer at the HPI are the two pre-programmed ignition curves on the microprocessor controlled CDI unit. You can switch between curves with a toggle switch. Both ignition curves are linear and offer an extremely wide adjustment range. At 13000 rpm the difference between the curves is 5 °.

At 16,000 rpm

adjustment range extends up to 42 °.
