To maximize the sensitivity of your gearbox, it is necessary to eliminate the typical play of the original selector mesh.

The latter, being bolted and obtained by bending a previously shaped sheet, undoubtedly presents play harmful to the stability of the cruise.

If the shifter were one with the gear cables, any gear shifts and internal vibrations of the cruise could be avoided.

MD Racing produces a special mesh for connecting the gear shifter to the control shaft, complete with C40 steel bolts with safety rings.

The diameter of the bolts is in H7 tolerance on the aluminum mesh hole and enters by interference, in order to eliminate play.

In this way, the shifter is forced to rotate only around the C40 pin, with minimal tolerance for normal operation.

For installation, it is necessary to ensure that the supplied pins slide smoothly, but without play, both on the fork hole and on the rocker arm hole of the gear selector. In case they need to be tightened, intervene with a reamer.

This way, the pins will be planted in the mesh and will only slide on the central part of the bolt, and friction will occur between the steel of the supplied pin and the steel of the rest of the selector, and since everything is immersed in oil, a long operating life of the system will be achieved.

Note, in some Piaggio series PK type engine cases with 3-hole collector feed, the mesh may collide with the wall.

With a milling machine, create the necessary space on the casing so that the mesh can slide freely (see figure).

The kit includes:

01 ergal mesh, 02 bolts, 02 safety rings.

N.B. In order to further improve the stability of the cruise and reduce the play on the fixing hole, it is advisable to also replace the two guide pads with the new MD Racing pads.
