Description

Indispensable tool in the vespa engine preparation workshop, specific for installing vespa crankshafts on the crankcase without damaging the shaft axiality.

The special C45 core has two threads on the head,

12x1.25 (suitable to take vespa cone 20 shafts flywheel side) both vespa 50/125 cone 20 and vespa PX 125/150 or PE200

12x1.5 (suitable for taking small vespa crankshafts on the pinion side)

Practically after having mounted the bearing on the flywheel side crankcase and proceeding with the assembly of the shaft on the bearing, you just need to screw the threaded rod to the crankshaft, then insert the appropriate aluminum cylinder and finally screw the fine pitch nut.

Holding the threaded rod with a 15mm wrench, with the other hand screw the nut with a 30mm wrench until the crankshaft has completely entered the bearing housing.

In some cases with special high quality shafts that mount 6204 bearings also on the pinion side, it is necessary to do this also on that side

and it will be sufficient to overturn the aluminum cylinder and screw the bar on the other side and carry out the same operation.

The geometry of the aluminum cylinder body is compatible both on page carters and in other racing carters such as Quattrini, Falc etc.

The thrust is exerted by distributing it evenly on the casing adjacent to the bearing, or directly on the bearing on the pinion side, leaving the shaft free to enter without danger of being damaged right where the oil seal slides, perhaps by sliding against the wall of the tool itself, as could happen in tools with a steel or ferrous body or with stepped shafts such as the falc or ETS.

Body made of billet aluminum, threaded bar in C45 steel resistant and durable over time.
